Fire Fighting Foam and Foam Equipment
The use of foam additives to water have long been proven to greatly enhance the efficiency of fighting fires. The idea is not new, with the concept being tried as early as the late 1800's to create foam blankets to assist in the extinguishing of fires, especially flammable liquid.
Later, chemical developments introduced various synthetic and protein based foams designed to improve knockdown of flames, as well as provide longer lasting foam blankets to prevent re-ignition of fires.
