Standpipes for Christchurch

We are all aware of the catastrophic event that took place in Christchurch on the 22 February 2011. This created a multitude of logistical issues not the least providing adequate water supplies.

PSL Fire and Safety is a well known and respected supplier of not only fire fighting water way equipment including standpipes for the Fire Service but also standpipes used for the contracting industry. When we got the call from various clients that standpipes were required to be sent to Christchurch (the next day in some cases) our manufacturing department went into overdrive to ensure that these vital pieces of equipment were sent to Christchurch in a very timely manner. In all, PSL sent over 70 standpipes to Christchurch in one week.

We would also like to thank other customers outside Christchurch for allowing us to put their orders for particular equipment on backorder so we could supply various Christchurch organisations with these vital pieces of equipment.
