About PSL
Phillips & Smith Limited (PSL) is 100% New Zealand owned and operated since 1913.
PSL began life as a non-ferrous foundry and engineering workshop producing a range of fittings used mostly in the Dairy industry, with some of these products still available today. 
During the early to mid 1960's, Government import restrictions were effecting the importing of fire fighting hardware into New Zealand, and PSL were asked to commence manufacture and design of these products for the New Zealand market.
With the subsequent move by the dairy industry to predominantly stainless steel, the Company's main focus and operation became fire fighting hardware manufacturing and engineering, with the factory based in Auckland.  A strong distribution business now supports this operation both nationally and via our Sydney office for the Australian market. International sales to some 20 countries around the world are serviced by our highly experienced Export Team in New Zealand and also a number of agents in key overseas markets.
